Job Overview
Job Purpose To manage the quantity surveying and commercial functions for landscape projects, including quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, estimation, tender pricing, subcontractor/supplier evaluation, variations and interim payment applications, ensuring accuracy, cost control and timely submissions. Main Responsibilities Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on landscape drawings, specifications, tender documents and project requirements. Prepare cost estimates, project budgets, rate analysis and tender pricing. Obtain, review, evaluate and compare quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, nurseries and specialist contractors. Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders (VO), Change Orders and additional works. Measure completed works on site and prepare interim payment applications with supporting measurement sheets. Key Activities Review, evaluate, identify and segregate relevant project drawings, specifications, BOQs, schedules and other documents required for supplier/subcontractor enquiries. Review received quotations for technical and commercial compliance with project drawings, specifications and scope of work. Extract quantities from AutoCAD drawings, PDFs, schedules and other project documents. Prepare detailed BOQs and quantity take-offs using Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, PlanSwift, etc. within the required time frame. Prepare commercial offers, cost breakdowns, rate analysis and value-engineering proposals. Identify additional, omitted or revised works arising from design changes, site conditions or client/consultant instructions. Prepare detailed variation calculations and submissions with proper supporting documents.

Technical Knowledge Softscape works, hardscape works and irrigation works Soil mixes and planting requirements Paving systems and installation; kerbs, edging, concrete works and related civil works External civil and landscape works Landscape materials, specifications and construction methods Software Skills AutoCAD – drawing review, measurement and quantity extraction Microsoft Excel – BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, costing and comparisons PlanSwift – quantity take-off from drawings Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in landscape contracting / quantity surveying. UAE project experience is preferred. Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
