QHSE Officer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions, ensuring adherence to QHSE standards. Develop and implement robust training programs that enhance employee awareness and knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with management to establish and maintain a comprehensive QHSE management system tailored to the specific needs of the organization. Investigate incidents and near misses thoroughly, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures to mitigate future risks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry practices, ensuring the organization is always compliant with current standards. Prepare and present detailed reports on QHSE performance metrics, highlighting trends and areas for improvement to stakeholders. Facilitate regular QHSE meetings and workshops that promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the workforce. Coordinate emergency response drills and safety training, ensuring readiness and compliance with local regulations and organizational policies. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field, providing a solid foundation in QHSE principles. At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in QHSE roles, demonstrating a proven track record of compliance and safety management. Certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001, or ISO 14001, showcasing commitment to continuous professional development in QHSE. Experience in the oil and gas, construction, or manufacturing industries, where QHSE challenges and solutions are unique and complex. Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional language skills in Arabic or French as a significant advantage for diverse work environments. Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies tailored to specific operational contexts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in QHSE management software and tools, enhancing efficiency in tracking compliance and safety performance.
