QA/QC Mechanical Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities To handle day-to-day site inspections and quality control for all mechanical installations (HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, and drainage), ensuring everything matches project drawings and gets approved by the consultant. Site Inspections: Prepare, submit, and raise Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) to get consultant approvals. Defect Management: Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for incorrect site works and follow up to make sure they are corrected and closed out. Material Checks: Inspect incoming site materials against approved material submittals and approve Goods Received Notes (GRNs). Testing & Commissioning: Coordinate with subcontractors to witness pressure testing, ductwork checks, and equipment commissioning. Paperwork & Trackers: Keep accurate, up-to-date daily logs of all inspections, NCRs, and site approvals. Project Handover: Collect and organize final close-out documents like O&M manuals, spare parts lists, and warranties. Desired Candidate Profile Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Total Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical construction projects. Gulf Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in the UAE handling building or villa projects. Core Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water piping, ductwork, and plumbing systems. Must be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel). Soft Skills: Clear communication skills to deal directly with consultants, main contractors, and site teams.
