Proposal/Estimation Engineer-Automation

Review system architecture and functional requirements to develop appropriate design solutions. Study OEM components, part numbers, datasheets, and technical specifications for component selection. Review and adapt reference GA drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and previous project designs. Identify required components, I/O, interfaces, panel layouts, wiring, and other design parameters. Develop and modify GA drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, BOMs, and panel documentation as per project requirements. Prepare cost estimates and techno-commercial proposals for control panel assembly and installation projects. Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and technical documentation to accurately determine material, labor, and equipment costs for control panel integration projects. Review RFQs, drawings, BOQs, and specifications to identify scope and cost elements. Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), labor hours, and overall project budgets, ensuring adherence to deadlines. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for components and materials, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely delivery. Review and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts to identify and quantify required components for accurate estimations. Liaise with the engineering and project management teams to clarify project scope, address technical queries, and ensure alignment between estimates and project requirements. Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure technically sound, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs. Prepare and present cost estimates to clients and stakeholders, explaining the basis of the estimates and addressing any queries effectively. Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to control panel integration to ensure compliance and accurate estimations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or a related field. Has 4-5 years of gulf experience in control panel/switchgear design/estimation. Demonstrates a strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel components and installation activities. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel is mandatory. Experience with EPLAN or other electrical design software is an advantage. Exhibits excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail. Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with clients, vendors, and team members. Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively. Shows the ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and positive work environment. Candidates currently available in the UAE and able to join immediately are preferred. Employment Type Full-time
