Project/Site Engineer (MEP)

Project Execution & Site Supervision Supervise and monitor daily MEP activities at the construction site. Ensure all MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, local authority regulations, and contract requirements. Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project execution. Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies, conflicts, or design issues. Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with project specifications. Planning & Coordination Prepare and monitor project work schedules and resource requirements. Coordinate procurement and delivery of MEP materials, equipment, and tools. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of works. Attend project progress meetings and provide technical inputs and updates. Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities. Quality Control Ensure all MEP installations meet quality standards and approved shop drawings. Conduct inspections and prepare snag lists for rectification. Monitor compliance with project quality plans and inspection procedures. Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspections and approvals. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Ensure compliance with company safety policies and site HSE requirements. Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site audits. Ensure safe working practices are followed by all site personnel and subcontractors. Documentation & Reporting Maintain site records, daily reports, progress reports, and inspection records. Prepare and submit RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents. Monitor project progress against schedules and report delays or risks to management. Assist in preparation of variation orders, claims, and project closeout documentation. Coordinate with authorities and consultants for inspections and approvals. Testing & Commissioning Supervise testing and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and ELV systems. Ensure all systems perform according to design requirements and regulatory standards. Coordinate final inspections and handover documentation. Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Understanding of testing and commissioning procedures. Familiarity with project planning and scheduling software is an advantage. Knowledge of UAE building codes, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, and municipality regulations. Soft Skills Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Strong organizational and reporting skills. Effective management of subcontractors and site resources. Timely submission of project documentation and reports.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. Valid UAE Driving License preferred. Experience Minimum 4–8 years of experience in MEP construction projects. GCC/UAE contracting company experience preferred. Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects. Familiarity with local authority requirements and approvals in the UAE. Employment Type Full-time
