Project Manager

An established international organisation with a broad operational presence is looking to appoint a Regional Project Manager to join its Kuwait-based team. The position will support a varied portfolio of regional initiatives, taking responsibility for translating organisational priorities into structured and deliverable programmes of work. Projects may involve teams, service providers and stakeholders operating across different countries, requiring strong coordination, commercial awareness and cultural adaptability. Regular travel throughout the Middle East and Africa will be an important part of the role. The Role The Regional Project Manager will provide structure and oversight throughout the full project lifecycle. This will include defining requirements, allocating resources, coordinating contributors and ensuring that each initiative remains aligned with its intended purpose. Rather than managing projects from a distance, the successful candidate will be expected to engage directly with local teams and partners, visit operational locations and respond practically to changing conditions on the ground. Key Responsibilities Translate organisational requirements into clear project scopes and implementation plans. Oversee a portfolio of assignments across several regional locations. Establish milestones, resource requirements and financial controls. Coordinate the contributions of internal departments, local offices, contractors and service providers. Maintain visibility over project performance and intervene when delivery moves off track. Review costs, timelines, operational risks and dependencies. Produce concise progress reports and recommendations for senior management. Assist with supplier selection, purchasing requirements and the movement of resources. Ensure that project records, approvals and supporting documentation are properly maintained. Conduct site visits and engage directly with teams across the region. Evaluate completed initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen future delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidate Requirements We are looking for an experienced project professional who is comfortable operating across borders and within environments where priorities, resources and local circumstances can change quickly. Applicants should offer: Previous responsibility for delivering complex or multi-location projects. Strong financial, organisational and analytical skills. The ability to bring structure and accountability to multiple workstreams. Experience coordinating a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Sound judgement and a calm, practical approach to resolving problems. Clear written reporting and confident verbal communication. The flexibility to travel regularly across the Middle East and Africa. Professional fluency in English. Experience within an international, development-focused, not-for-profit or similarly diverse operational environment would be particularly relevant. Arabic-language capability and formal project-management certification, including PMP or PRINCE2, would be beneficial but are not essential.
