Project Engineer

Conduct on‑site technical management for projects, including drawing review, construction‑plan compilation and technical disclosure. Liaise with supervisors, employers and local subcontractors, and control on‑site construction quality, progress and safety. Be familiar with local engineering practices in Dubai: understand Dubai engineering procedures, approval workflows of RTA and municipal authorities as well as supervisory bodies; be acquainted with local suppliers for materials, subcontracting and equipment leasing; assist with inquiry and price comparison for projects. Prepare on‑site documentation including Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), inspection records, test reports, variation orders, weekly and monthly reports; compile Chinese‑English bilingual engineering documents in compliance with Middle‑Eastern project standards. Coordinate Chinese construction crews, local foreign workers and equipment operators; resolve unforeseen on‑site technical issues; support pre‑bid technical work for tendering upon request. Observe UAE labour regulations and HSE requirements, implement on‑site safety control, and maintain sound relations with local governmental authorities, supervisors and business partners.

Desired Candidate Profile

Chinese prefered. Hold a college diploma or above, majoring in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related disciplines. Must have hands‑on on‑site working experience in construction projects within Dubai / the UAE; familiar with local market conditions, supervisory systems and approval procedures. Prior experience in pile‑foundation, foundation‑pit or geotechnical projects is highly preferred. Above 3years of on‑site project‑management experience, capable of independently troubleshooting technical problems on site. English proficiency: able to read engineering drawings & specifications proficiently and conduct verbal communication with foreign supervisors and subcontractors for daily project operations. Competent in CAD and MS Office; capable of preparing special construction schemes and various on‑site engineering documents. Willing to be permanently stationed in Dubai and accept site‑based business trips. Pragmatic mindset, strong communication and coordination skills; able to adapt to working conditions in the Middle East. Candidates with existing local subcontracting, equipment and material‑supply resources are preferred. Employment Type Full-time
