Production Manager

& Experience Recognized tertiary qualification in Petroleum, Gas, Drilling, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering/Technical discipline. Minimum 20 years of progressive international land drilling experience. Minimum 10 years in Operations Manager, Operations Superintendent, or equivalent senior leadership roles. Extensive international and Eastern Hemisphere (EH) drilling experience, preferably across the Middle East, North Africa and other international operating environments. Proven experience managing multiple drilling rigs across different countries, clients, rig types, and operating environments. Strong experience with 1,000 3,000 HP land drilling rigs and different rig configurations, including SCR, VFD/AC, Cyberchair, and Top Drive systems. Experience with major international and national operators and both conventional and turnkey drilling projects. Proven experience in deep, horizontal, extended-reach, exploration, and development drilling operations. Operational & Leadership Requirements Strong leadership experience managing drilling operations, maintenance, technical support, and multidisciplinary rig teams. Proven ability to lead Rig Managers, Toolpushers, Drillers, maintenance personnel, and operational support teams. Experience with rig start-up, commissioning, mobilization, rig moves, and operational readiness. Strong equipment and maintenance knowledge, including Top Drives, mud pumps, BOP systems, power systems, and rig-floor equipment. Experience improving rig performance, equipment reliability, safety culture, drilling efficiency, and NPT performance. Strong experience in workforce planning, competency development, training, and national workforce development. Strong client-management capability and experience acting as the operational and technical focal point for major clients. Experience managing rig budgets, OPEX, CAPEX, AFE requirements, and operational cost performance. Experience supporting technical tenders, contract requirements, and commercial discussions. Strong knowledge of HSE management, risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response. Training & Certifications Required/preferred certifications include: IADC Well Control Supervisor Level / IWCF equivalent TAP Root Training / Root Cause Analysis Leadership / Management Training Stuck Pipe Prevention Rig Management Emergency Response Digital & Technology Skills Strong working knowledge of: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Operational and drilling performance reporting systems. Maintenance and asset-management systems. Project-management tools. Data analysis, KPI dashboards, and Power BI or equivalent. AI tools for operational analysis, reporting, planning, and decision support. Digital drilling, rig automation, and equipment-monitoring technologies. Preferably Nabors Drilling Solutions (NDS), Canrig equipment, Top Drive systems, and related drilling technologies. Language Fluent professional English is mandatory, including the ability to conduct client meetings, technical discussions, presentations, and management reporting.
