Procurement Engineer

Lead procurement activities for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil materials across GCC markets. Prepare RFQs, evaluate vendor quotations, and conduct techno-commercial negotiations. Develop vendor database and maintain strong relationships with GCC-based suppliers and OEMs. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual obligations, and project timelines. Coordinate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with project requirements. Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, and quality standards. Prepare procurement status reports, MOMs, and dashboards for management review. Support logistics, customs clearance, and documentation for cross-border GCC shipments.

Desired Candidate Profile

Proven track record in sourcing and negotiating with GCC vendors (Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain). Strong knowledge of GCC market practices, vendor networks, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with SAP/ERP procurement modules and MS Office tools. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and commercial acumen. Ability to manage multiple RFQs and procurement packages simultaneously. Knowledge of international procurement standards and Incoterms. GCC market awareness and ability to identify cost-effective sourcing strategies.
