Pre-Sales Engineer (Data Center & Modular Infrastructure)

Work with the sales team to qualify opportunities, understand client requirements and shape the right technical solution and scope. Design end-to-end data center infrastructure: power (MV/LV, UPS, generators), cooling (air, in-row, direct liquid), racks and containment, structured cabling, fire detection and suppression, security and monitoring (BMS/DCIM). Configure and size prefabricated modular and containerized data centers and AI pods from the Altron Modular portfolio, working with our Prague engineering and product team on specifications, drawings and lead times. Conduct site surveys, technical assessments and feasibility studies in the UAE. Prepare technical designs, drawings, specifications, compliance matrices and Bills of Materials / Bills of Quantities. Build the technical and costing basis of our proposals: OEM and subcontractor pricing, scope assumptions, exclusions and risks, so that sales can price with confidence and protect margin. Write technical proposals and lead the technical response to RFPs, RFQs and tenders, including clarifications and vendor Q&A. Deliver technical presentations, solution walkthroughs and design reviews to clients and consultants. Scope and support annual maintenance (AMC), tech-refresh and upgrade proposals for installed data centers. Support value engineering, cost optimization and the standardization of our solution building blocks and proposal templates. Keep opportunity records, solution versions and technical documents up to date in our pipeline and document systems. Ensure a clean technical handover to the project and operations teams after award.

Desired Candidate Profile

Hands-on experience with prefabricated modular or containerized data centers. Exposure to liquid cooling and high-density / AI compute infrastructure. Uptime Institute (ATD/ATS), TIA-942 or equivalent certification; experience with Tier III / Tier IV designs. OEM certifications (e.g. Schneider Electric, Vertiv, Eaton, ABB, Cummins). Arabic language skills are an advantage. Clear communicator in English, comfortable presenting to clients and challenging a requirement when it does not make sense. UAE driving license; ability to travel occasionally within the GCC. Employment Type Full-time
