Power Tools Mechanic

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs of construction power tools and site equipment. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and engine-related faults using appropriate testing equipment. Carry out scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize breakdowns. Repair and maintain Power Trowels, Power Floats, Concrete Pumps, Submersible Pumps, Angle Grinders, Jackhammers, Demolition Hammers, Concrete Vibrators, Plate Compactors, Concrete Mixers, and other construction tools. Inspect motors, gearboxes, bearings, seals, carburetors, carbon brushes, switches, electrical wiring, and control components. Perform engine servicing, lubrication, alignment, calibration, and replacement of worn-out mechanical parts. Conduct electrical troubleshooting for portable power tools and construction equipment. Maintain proper maintenance records, equipment history, inspection reports, and service schedules. Coordinate with project engineers and site supervisors to prioritize urgent repair works. Monitor equipment performance and recommend preventive actions to improve equipment reliability. Ensure adequate stock levels of spare parts, consumables, lubricants, and maintenance materials. Maintain housekeeping of the workshop and ensure proper storage of tools and spare parts. Follow company HSE policies and manufacturer-recommended maintenance procedures. Conduct pre-use and post-maintenance inspections to ensure equipment is safe for operation. Respond immediately to emergency equipment breakdowns to reduce project delays. Assist in commissioning, installation, testing, and dismantling of construction equipment whenever required. Train equipment operators on proper handling, daily inspections, and basic preventive maintenance practices. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company quality standards and project requirements. Desired Candidate Profile Diploma/ITI/Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, or a related technical trade is preferred. Minimum 8–12 years of experience in maintenance and repair of construction power tools and small-to-medium construction equipment. GCC experience is preferred. Experience working on high-rise buildings, commercial buildings, residential villa projects, or large-scale construction projects. Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment servicing. Hands-on experience with petrol, diesel, and electrically operated construction equipment. Good understanding of construction site safety standards and equipment inspection procedures. Ability to diagnose equipment failures quickly and carry out effective repairs to minimize downtime. Experience in maintaining equipment maintenance logs, service schedules, and spare parts inventory. Ability to read equipment manuals, technical drawings, and troubleshooting guides. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Immediate joiners are highly preferred. Candidates with a maximum 30-day notice period will be considered.
