Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Physician as personal medical lead to a Royal Household in Qatar. The post carries full clinical sovereignty within a private residential environment, with responsibility for coordinating specialist care as required. What this appointment asks of you As personal physician and medical lead, you become the household s single point of clinical truth: first assessment for every presentation, longitudinal management of chronic conditions, preventative screening architecture for the family, and the judgement to know precisely when a case needs a named specialist in Doha, London or elsewhere and how to bring that specialist in without disturbing the family s privacy. The medicine is broad rather than narrow, which is why the household is open to consultant-level internists, family physicians and emergency physicians alike. What is not negotiable is temperament: the ability to hold clinical authority courteously, to say no when necessary, and to keep confidences absolutely. Eight or more years of independent practice is the minimum for a reason. Licensing sequence: DHP (QCHP), Qatar Qatar licenses clinicians through the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) at the Ministry of Public Health, under the QCHP framework.
