Monitor actual project expenditure against approved budgets and commitments. Track project costs for materials, manpower, subcontractors, consultants, equipment, and other project activities. Prepare regular cost reports, cash-flow forecasts, budget updates, and cost-performance reports. Analyze cost variances and identify potential cost overruns at an early stage. Maintain accurate records of committed costs, actual costs, accruals, forecasts, and outstanding commitments. Coordinate with procurement, commercial, finance, project management, and site teams to collect and validate cost information. Review purchase orders, subcontract agreements, invoices, payment applications, and other commercial documents from a cost-control perspective. Monitor variations, change orders, claims, and their impact on the approved project budget. Support the preparation and maintenance of Budget at Completion (BAC), Estimate at Completion (EAC), and Estimate to Complete (ETC). Track project progress and correlate physical progress with financial expenditure. Identify cost trends, risks, and deviations and provide recommendations to project management. Assist in preparing monthly project cost reports and management dashboards. Ensure timely updating of cost-control databases and project financial records. Support the commercial and contracts teams in evaluating the financial impact of variations and claims. Assist with project forecasting and cash-flow planning. Monitor subcontractor and supplier commitments and ensure they are properly reflected in project cost reports. Participate in cost-review meetings and provide relevant financial and cost-performance information. Support project close-out activities, including final cost reconciliation and budget analysis. Ensure compliance with company procedures, project controls standards, and approved financial processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field. 7–12 years relevant experience in cost control. Experience specifically in GRC, Modular, AC Ducting or Ready Mix is required ONLY. Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost monitoring, forecasting and cost reporting. UAE/GCC experience preferred.
