Odoo Accountant – 4–5 Years Experience We are looking for a strong and experienced Odoo Accountant with 4–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, including solid practical experience with Odoo ERP. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end closing, and Odoo Accounting. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and ensuring smooth financial operations through Odoo. This position is also suitable for an ambitious accounting professional who has the caliber, ownership, and potential to grow into a Senior Accountant or Assistant Account Manager role based on performance, technical knowledge, leadership ability, and overall contribution to the organization. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting transactions using Odoo ERP. Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities. Record and review invoices, bills, credit notes, debit notes, receipts, and payments. Perform bank, cash, customer, and supplier reconciliations. Manage General Ledger accounts and ensure accurate account balances. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare and maintain Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and other management reports. Monitor receivables and payables and follow up on outstanding balances. Handle accruals, prepayments, provisions, depreciation, and journal entries. Review accounting entries posted through Odoo and ensure correct account classification. Maintain and review Odoo accounting configurations, journals, taxes, payment terms, and workflows. Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and other departments to ensure proper accounting integration. Reconcile inventory-related accounting entries and assist with inventory valuation where applicable. Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and tax requirements. Identify accounting discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action. Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation within Odoo. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and automate repetitive tasks through Odoo. Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff where required. Odoo Skills Required Strong hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting. Good understanding of Odoo Invoicing, Payments, Bank Reconciliation, Journals, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting. Experience integrating accounting with Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and other Odoo modules. Ability to identify and troubleshoot accounting discrepancies within Odoo. Experience with Odoo accounting workflows and configuration. Good knowledge of Odoo financial reports and dashboards. Experience with Odoo data import/export and Excel-based reconciliations. Exposure to Odoo implementation, migration, or customization projects is an advantage. Accounting Skills Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles. Excellent knowledge of AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and financial closing. Experience preparing financial statements and management reports. Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of accounting controls and audit requirements. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial reconciliation. Knowledge of VAT/tax accounting and compliance relevant to the country of operation.
