Network Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Configure, implement and support LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN infrastructures for enterprise clients. Install and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers and access points — IP addressing, VLANs, trunking, STP and QoS. Provide L2/L3 support for network incidents and escalations within SLA; troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless and performance issues. Monitor network performance and availability using network monitoring tools; flag capacity and performance risks. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on major or recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes. Support firewall policies and site-to-site / remote-access VPN configuration in line with network security best practices. Participate in network upgrades, migrations and site rollouts with minimal disruption to client operations. Manage incidents and changes through the ticketing system; coordinate with vendors and ISPs. Prepare and maintain network documentation — configurations, topology diagrams, IP schemas, SOPs and service reports.
