Mechanical Estimation Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimation Engineer to independently lead the mechanical estimation and tendering function for large-scale, complex projects across hospitality, aviation, high-rise, and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will be a Graduate Mechanical Engineer holding MMUP Grade A and QCDD certification (Preferred), with a strong track record of pricing and winning major bids. The ideal candidate combines deep MEP/mechanical cost estimation expertise with independent ownership of the full bid cycle — from quantity take-off through final submission — and is fluent in industry-standard estimation and CAD software. Primary Responsibilities ●Independently manage the full mechanical estimation and tendering cycle — quantity surveying, take-off, pricing, vendor/subcontractor quotations, and final bid submission — with minimal supervision. ●Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, and other mechanical systems from tender drawings, specifications, and BOQs. ●Lead estimation for large-scale, high-value tenders including hospitality developments, airport packages, high-rise towers, and industrial projects. ●Source and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations, negotiate pricing, and build up comparative cost analyses. ●Develop and maintain historical cost databases and benchmarking data to improve estimation accuracy over time. ● Coordinate with design, planning, procurement, and commercial teams to align technical and commercial aspects of each bid. ●Identify and flag technical and commercial risks/qualifications during bid preparation, and support clarification/query responses to clients and consultants. ●Prepare and present final bid summaries, cost breakdowns, and estimation reports to senior management for approval prior to submission. ●Support post-tender negotiations and handover of awarded projects to the operations/site team.
