Mechanical Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair rotating and static equipment, including pumps, valves, piping, HVAC, and other mechanical assets. Ensure smooth operation and reliability of mechanical systems in Civil and facility management projects. Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation. Plan and execute scheduled maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime. Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions within specified timelines. Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. Coordinate with maintenance teams, supervisors, and other disciplines to complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safety regulations, and company maintenance procedures. Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, and equipment history documentation. Assist in installation, testing, commissioning, and modification of mechanical systems when required. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential failures and recommend preventive actions. Maintain inventory records for spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials. Support emergency breakdown maintenance and ensure timely restoration of equipment. Follow quality standards and best engineering practices while executing maintenance activities.civil Desired Candidate Profile 4–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in civil or facility management projects. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). Strong knowledge of rotating/static equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and mechanical systems. Ability to read engineering drawings and troubleshoot mechanical equipment. Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices. Knowledge of HSE standards and safe work procedures. Gulf LWV Driving License (Valid or Expired) is preferred but not mandatory.
