Project Construction & Execution Lead and manage day-to-day construction activities for power projects, including substation and electrical infrastructure works. Plan and coordinate site activities in line with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, method statements, and contractual requirements. Monitor project progress against planned milestones and ensure timely completion of assigned activities. Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and resources to achieve project targets. Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection requirements, and work procedures. Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and commissioning teams to resolve site issues and maintain project progress. Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with approved work methods, quality standards, and project requirements. Identify construction risks, delays, and technical issues and implement appropriate corrective actions. Electrical Works Oversee electrical installation and construction activities associated with substations and power infrastructure projects. Ensure electrical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements. Coordinate installation of electrical equipment, cables, panels, transformers, switchgear, control and protection systems, earthing, and associated systems. Coordinate with testing and commissioning teams for inspection, testing, pre-commissioning, and energization activities. Ensure proper coordination between civil, electrical, MEP, testing, and commissioning activities. Review technical requirements and coordinate with consultants, clients, and utility authorities as required. Ensure timely resolution of technical and site-related electrical issues. Stores & Material Management Manage project stores and ensure timely availability of civil, electrical, MEP, consumable, and other project materials. Supervise receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, issuance, and reconciliation of materials. Verify materials against LPOs, delivery notes, approved submittals, drawings, and material requirements. Maintain accurate inventory records, ERP entries, bin cards, GRNs, MRs, MIRs, delivery documents, test certificates, and return notes. Ensure materials are issued only against approved Material Requisitions and maintain complete traceability. Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and coordinate replenishment with procurement and project teams. Ensure proper segregation of approved, rejected, surplus, damaged, and returnable materials. Implement appropriate storage, preservation, FIFO, housekeeping, and material-handling practices. Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation to minimize shortages, losses, and excess inventory. Coordinate with QA/QC for material inspections and ensure that only approved materials are released for construction. HSE & Quality Ensure strict compliance with company, project, client, and UAE HSE requirements. Promote a strong safety culture across construction, electrical, and store operations. Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, and quality procedures. Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to identify and close quality and safety observations. Ensure proper handling and storage of electrical equipment, chemicals, cables, and other sensitive materials. Support internal, client, consultant, and authority audits and ensure timely closure of observations. Team & Stakeholder Management Lead and supervise construction engineers, electrical engineers, store personnel, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractor teams as applicable. Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure effective utilization of manpower. Conduct regular coordination meetings with project stakeholders and provide progress updates. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and internal departments. Prepare and review project reports, material status reports, progress updates, and management dashboards. Drive continuous improvement in construction execution, electrical installation, material management, productivity, and project delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline. Diploma holders with extensive relevant power-project experience may also be considered. Additional qualifications in Project Management, Supply Chain, Stores Management, or Electrical Engineering will be an advantage. Experience Typically 10–15+ years of relevant experience in construction, electrical infrastructure, power projects, substations, EPC projects, or project stores/material management. Strong experience in substation, transformer, power transmission, electrical infrastructure, or utility projects is preferred. Candidates should have demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and site operations. UAE/Dubai project experience is preferred, particularly experience with utility or major infrastructure projects. Experience working with DEWA / TRANSCO or similar utility authorities will be an advantage. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of power project construction and electrical infrastructure. Knowledge of substation construction, electrical installation, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning. Understanding of civil and electrical project materials and their storage/preservation requirements. Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, resource management, and subcontractor management. Strong understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements for power and construction projects. Knowledge of inventory control, material reconciliation, ERP/SAP systems, and project store documentation. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and project reporting tools. Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and inspection procedures.
