Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, including troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections of production equipment (e.g., injection molding, extrusion, blow molding machines). Assign tasks to technicians and monitor performance to ensure timely and effective maintenance. Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and properly documented. Monitor equipment performance and identify signs of wear or malfunction. Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager for spare parts procurement and inventory control. Support the installation and commissioning of new machines or equipment. Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during maintenance activities. Ensure maintenance work is carried out in accordance with lockout/tagout procedures and machine safety protocols. Report and investigate maintenance-related incidents or hazards. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, breakdown logs, and inspection reports. Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance. Assist in updating and maintaining equipment manuals, and technical documentation. Train and mentor maintenance technicians to improve skill levels and technical competencies. Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff. Conduct toolbox talks and briefings before maintenance tasks. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications and Education Requirements Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering Technical certifications in maintenance, or industrial equipment (preferred) Experience and Skills 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting (plastic industry preferred) At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role Core Competencies Strong knowledge of plastic processing machinery (e.g., injection molding, extrusion) Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ability to read technical drawings and manuals Good organizational and leadership skills Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset Employment Type Full Time Company Industry PlasticsRubber Department / Functional Area InstallationMaintenanceOperationsRepair Keywords Plastic Extrusion Get real-time job updates only on our App
