Lab Instructor

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities BITS Pilani Dubai Campus is looking for a dynamic and motivated Lab Instructor to support undergraduate laboratory courses in the areas of Robotic Sensors, Process Control, and Industrial Automation. The role involves working closely with faculty members to ensure effective laboratory teaching, seamless operations, and student engagement. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and conduct engaging laboratory sessions in Robotics, Embedded Systems, IoT, Communication Systems, and Industrial Automation. Provide practical guidance and technical support to students during lab sessions, projects, and experiments. Ensure smooth day-to-day laboratory operations, including scheduling, setup, and resource management. Collaborate with faculty members in developing and updating lab manuals, experiment protocols, and practical content. Conduct regular inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. Ensure adherence to laboratory safety standards and conduct safety awareness sessions. Maintain inventory and records of equipment, consumables, and laboratory resources. Support workshops, student projects, and departmental academic initiatives. Maintain proper documentation related to lab operations and activities. Desired Candidate Profile Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in CS / IT / Electronics & Computer Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering. M.E./M.Tech in relevant disciplines preferred. Experience: 12 years of laboratory teaching or relevant academic lab experience. Hands-on knowledge of Embedded Systems, IoT, Communication Systems, Robotic Sensors, Process Control, and Industrial Automation. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and Verilog. Knowledge of laboratory equipment handling, inventory management, and preventive maintenance. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Proactive, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement and best practices.
