Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About the position We are looking for a Junior COBOL Engineer to join our technical teams and work on COBOL application development, analysis, and maintenance activities for our client. The role involves participating in the evolution and maintenance of third-party applications, analyzing functional requirements, developing and correcting COBOL programs, performing unit tests, and collaborating with functional and technical teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and sustainability of existing systems. Location: Casablanca Level: Master's degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent) Experience: 0-2 years Technical Skills: COBOL JCL SQL Relational Databases (DB2, Oracle, or equivalent) IBM Mainframe Environment (z/OS) Version Control Tools Basic knowledge of unit and technical acceptance testing CICS or IMS exposure is a plus Languages: French required Technical English appreciated. Your missions Participate in the development, evolution, and maintenance of COBOL applications, adhering to mainframe development standards and best practices. Contribute to the analysis of functional and technical requirements in collaboration with third-party and project teams. Develop, modify, and optimize COBOL programs and associated batch processes (JCL). Perform unit and integration tests to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of applications.
