Position Summary

The client is seeking a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance enterprise applications supporting manufacturing systems. The ideal consultant will have strong expertise in Java development, Java Servlets/JSP, JavaScript, ExtJS, Oracle databases, Tomcat, and SOAP/REST web services, along with the ability to mentor offshore teams and contribute throughout the SDLC.

Primary Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications.

Develop server-side applications using Java Servlets and JSP.

Build and enhance front-end functionality using JavaScript and ExtJS.

Develop and consume SOAP and RESTful Web Services.

Work with Oracle 19c databases, SQL queries, and Stored Procedures.

Deploy and maintain applications on Apache Tomcat.

Participate in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Lead and mentor offshore development teams.

Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.

Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and enhance existing applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new feature development and architectural discussions.

Utilize Jenkins for build and release management.

Use Git, Bitbucket, SVN, or Perforce for version control.

Strong hands-on experience with Java, Java Servlets, and JSP.

Experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript and ExtJS.

Experience building and integrating SOAP/REST Web Services.

Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c, SQL, and Stored Procedures.

Experience deploying applications on Tomcat.

Experience using Jenkins and modern version control tools.

Strong understanding of MVC architecture.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
