We are hiring an IT MES Specialist in Logansport, IN. Within the first year, you will be responsible for improving the existing MES and eventually transition into implementing a new system. This position offers long-term growth with a clear path to IT leadership. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background with C#, databases, and will have worked in the manufacturing industry. Bonus points for being able to speak Mandarin fluently.

Job Details

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and customize the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to support evolving production requirements

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues affecting MES functionality and shop floor operations

Set up and maintain product routing within the MES environment

Ensure accurate data collection and analysis to track performance metrics and identify operational trends

Monitor system performance, security, and stability; perform routine maintenance and apply patches/updates

Collaborate with IT and Production teams to integrate MES with external equipment, PLCs, SCADA systems, and enterprise systems

Create and maintain thorough documentation of system designs, configurations, and procedures

Lead IT projects from conception through completion, including planning, execution, and post-project documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field

Knowledge of database systems (Oracle, Firebird, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL) and SQL for data analysis and reporting

Experience with C# or a comparable object-oriented programming language

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify and communicate concerns

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and track multiple concurrent projects to completion

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in an MES, IT, or manufacturing systems role

Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
