HSE Team Leader

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced HSE Team Leader to lead and promote Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) excellence across marine, offshore survey, subsea, and vessel operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting risk assessments, supporting operational teams, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization. The role requires extensive experience within marine, offshore oil & gas, subsea, offshore construction, or vessel operations environments, with a proven ability to manage HSE activities both onshore and offshore. Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation of the Company's HSE Management System across marine and offshore operations. Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and international marine and offshore industry standards. Conduct HSE risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Toolbox Talks, and Permit-to-Work reviews. Support offshore mobilizations, vessel operations, survey campaigns, and subsea projects from an HSE perspective. Conduct inspections, audits, and workplace observations on vessels, offshore sites, and operational bases. Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformities, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Monitor HSE performance and prepare periodic reports, statistics, and management dashboards. Lead emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response exercises. Deliver HSE inductions, awareness programs, and safety training for employees, contractors, and visitors. Provide guidance to operational teams on safe work practices and environmental protection measures. Interface with clients, regulatory authorities, and third-party auditors during inspections and audits. Participate in project planning and operational reviews to identify and mitigate HSE risks. Promote behavioral safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Mentor and support HSE Officers and offshore HSE personnel. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 8–12 years of HSE experience, with significant exposure to marine, offshore, oil & gas, subsea, or offshore construction environments. NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent certification (mandatory). Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 preferred. Strong knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques. Experience supporting offshore vessels, survey operations, subsea projects, or marine construction activities. Familiarity with international standards, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IMCA guidelines, and maritime safety requirements. Strong leadership, communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
