HSE Officer- Offshore

HSE officer- Offshore are mobilized to the Offshore Sites of Clients for managing HSE activities related to the Projects / Clients’ requirements. He will be responsible for the following: Develop an understanding and familiarize with COMPANY & Clients’ HSE policies and procedures. Carryout all HSE related activities meeting Clients’ requirements / project requirements. Regularly inspect work areas to check work practices and report any observed deviations to senior colleagues. Participate in and deliver effective HSE induction programs to promote HSE awareness and ensure that safe work practices are adopted by all. Provide necessary assistance for situations that involve medical evacuations and promptly respond to emergency incidents. Carry out activities as assigned and attend internal onsite HSE meetings to discuss and resolve HSE issues. Coordinate with site Operation teams to conduct regular emergency drills to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency. Participate in the investigation of accidents/incidents and near-misses. Assist in the investigation of HSE related incidents and prepare reports with recommendations for remedial action. Monitor the maintenance and inspection of life saving and firefighting equipment. Ensure that adequate emergency equipment is available and maintained in optimum operating condition. Participate in onsite HSE internal meetings as a facilitator during the delivery of toolbox talks. Prepare Daily / Weekly and monthly site HSE reports and statistics for further action by senior colleagues Maintaining the AREA SPECIFIC Project HSE Documentations AREA SPECIFIC Project HSE Statistics Maintains register of AREA SPECIFIC Project HSE Observations, register of HSE Equipment assigned to AREA SPECIFIC Projects Maintaining AREA SPECIFIC Project Incident Registry. Maintains AREA SPECIFIC Project Environmental Data

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering or equivalent Holder of NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma or an equivalent internationally recognized HSE certification Thorough knowledge of HSE standards (National / International / Client specific) ISO 14001/45001 (latest) Auditor Certified 6 – 7 yrs. of experience with a minimum 2 yrs. Offshore experience in a similar role Fluent written & spoken English language. Knowledge of Arabic would be of added value Excellent interpersonal & communication skills Excellent Planning, Organizing & Analytical skills Computer awareness and usage skills COMPETENCIES Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills in English. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills Logical thinking and report writing skills.
