HSE Engineer (O&M WWTP)

Implement and monitor the Project HSE Management Plan in accordance with ADSSC requirements, UAE regulations, and Company policies. Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Occupational Health regulations during Operations & Maintenance activities. Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions. Prepare and review Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements (MS), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation. Monitor high-risk activities, including confined space entry, hot work, lifting operations, working at height, chemical handling, and electrical isolation. Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts/conditions, and prepare comprehensive investigation reports with corrective actions. Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, safety awareness campaigns, and periodic training for employees and subcontractors. Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and safe work practices. Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports and maintain accurate HSE records and statistics. Support internal and external HSE audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings. Liaise with Client representatives, regulatory authorities, and internal departments on HSE-related matters. Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and environmental compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – Mandatory. IOSH Managing Safely and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor certification will be an added advantage. Experience Minimum 5–7 years of relevant HSE experience in the UAE or GCC. Previous experience in Wastewater Treatment Plants is mandatory. Proven experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects is mandatory. Familiar in process safety in sewerage treatment plant or similar Experience with ADSSC/TAQA, sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, or water utility projects will be highly preferred. Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, permit-to-work systems, and environmental compliance requirements. Employment Type Full Time
