Health, Safety & Environment Officer

We are looking for a proactive and experienced HSE Officer to join our team and support our Technical Center and Medical University in maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant environment for employees, students, visitors, and contractors. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to identify risks, implement preventive measures, and promote a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs. Conduct regular HSE inspections, risk assessments, and site audits. Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports. Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness sessions. Monitor contractors and service providers for compliance with HSE requirements. Ensure appropriate use of PPE and adherence to safe working practices. Support fire safety, emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and emergency response. Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, incident reports, and corrective-action logs. Monitor workplace and environmental safety standards. Liaise with management and relevant stakeholders on HSE matters. Recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's overall safety culture.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's degree in HSE, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in the UAE. Experience in schools, universities, educational institutions, facilities management, healthcare, or corporate environments is preferred. NEBOSH IGC certification is highly preferred. IOSH certification is an advantage. Strong knowledge of UAE HSE requirements and workplace safety practices. Experience in risk assessments, incident investigation, emergency procedures, and safety inspections. Strong English communication and report-writing skills. Proactive, organized, and detail oriented. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Non-Arabic candidates are preferred. Employment Type Full-time
