Head of Quality (Sohar Yard)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Lead the implementation of the Project Quality Management System (QMS) during fabrication of jackets and topsides. Oversee quality activities at Sohar Yard, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and fabrication requirements. Monitor EPC Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors to ensure effective quality management and timely resolution of quality issues. Coordinate with Welding, NDE, and Systems Completion teams to ensure inspection and quality records are aligned. Manage NCRs, technical deviations, corrective actions, and lessons learned throughout fabrication. Monitor quality performance, identify risks, and provide regular reports to Project Management. Collaborate with Site Management and Quality Teams to drive continuous quality improvement. Promote compliance with HSE requirements and participate in site safety initiatives. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science; Quality, Welding, or NDE certifications are preferred. Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in the Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or EPC industry, including 2+ years in a leadership role. Strong experience in fabrication quality management, QA/QC systems, welding inspections, NDE, and contractor quality oversight. Sound knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), international codes, and industry standards. Experience managing EPC Contractors, Fabrication Yards, Vendors, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills. Previous experience on large-scale Oil & Gas/LNG fabrication projects is highly preferred.
