Head of IT

Role Summary The IT Head is responsible for defining and executing the organization’s end-to-end IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving digital transformation across all functions. This role leads enterprise technology initiatives, including ERP (SAP S/4HANA and Odoo), WMS, business intelligence (Power BI), and digital workplace modernization (Microsoft 365). Acting as both a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, the IT Head ensures the delivery of scalable, secure, and efficient systems while championing automation, data-driven decision-making, and process optimization. The role also serves as the primary project lead for all major system implementations and enhancements, ensuring successful delivery, integration, and adoption across the organization. Key Responsibilities 1. IT Strategy & Digital Transformation Define and execute the organization’s IT vision, strategy, and roadmap. Conduct periodic capability assessments and benchmark against industry best practices. Identify gaps and lead initiatives to modernize systems, processes, and platforms. Drive adoption of cloud, automation, and digital workplace technologies (Microsoft 365). Establish a centralized and integrated IT ecosystem, eliminating fragmented tools. Advise leadership on leveraging technology for competitive advantage and efficiency. 2. Lead Enterprise Systems, ERP & WMS Own and oversee ERP ecosystems, including SAP S/4HANA and Odoo. Lead implementation, enhancement, and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) integrated with ERP and supply chain operations. Ensure seamless integration between ERP, WMS, CRM, HRMS, e-commerce, and other business systems. Collaborate with business stakeholders to align systems with operational requirements and improve process efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise applications. 3. Project Leadership & Implementation Act as the primary project lead for all IT system implementations and transformation initiatives. Own end-to-end delivery: planning, budgeting, vendor management, execution, and governance. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business requirements. Ensure alignment with business objectives, timelines, and ROI expectations. Drive user adoption through structured change management and training programs. 4. IT Infrastructure & Operations Provide governance over IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and enterprise platforms. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance through proper frameworks and SLAs. Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies at a policy level. Define standards for systems, architecture, and technology adoption. Ensure operational IT support is effectively delivered via internal teams or managed service providers (without direct involvement in day-to-day support). 5. Cybersecurity & Risk Management Define and enforce cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and controls. Oversee risk assessments, audits, and compliance initiatives. Ensure data protection, access control, and regulatory compliance. Lead business continuity and disaster recovery governance. 6. Team Leadership & Capability Building Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, including infrastructure, support, and development resources. Build and lead a team responsible for automation, system development, and process optimization. Define clear roles, KPIs, and performance expectations. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. 7. Vendor Management Manage strategic relationships with technology vendors and partners. Oversee contracts, procurement, and service delivery performance. Ensure documentation, policies, and governance frameworks are maintained and enforced. Standardize IT practices across the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience 15+ years of IT leadership experience in strategy, digital transformation, and enterprise systems. Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, Odoo, WMS, ERP integrations, and large-scale IT projects. Strong knowledge of the manufacturing industry and end-to-end supply chain processes. Excellent understanding of financial workflows and their integration with ERP systems. Hands-on experience developing ERP-linked dashboards and management reports to support data-driven decision-making. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions. Employment Type Full-time
