Head of Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We have partnered with a large, diversified conglomerate with a global footprint to hire a Head of Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture. This is a senior role for a genuine technologist, not a career operations manager. The client is looking for someone who has come up through cloud and infrastructure architecture, still understands the detail and can lead from a position of real technical credibility. You will own the infrastructure landscape across the Group, with cloud, networking and service desk reporting into you, while staying close enough to the technology to drive change, upgrades and modernisation yourself. This role suits a hands-on cloud and infrastructure architect who has stepped up into leadership without losing their technical edge, and who has deep, practical expertise in cloud FinOps. About the role: Own the architecture, performance and direction of the Group's infrastructure across cloud, networking and service desk functions Manage the outsourced vendors delivering cloud, networking and service desk, holding them accountable on technical delivery, service levels and commercial terms Lead infrastructure change management, upgrades and modernisation programmes, staying hands-on and close to the technical detail throughout Own and optimise cloud consumption and cost across the Group as a cloud FinOps expert, driving efficiency without compromising performance or reliability Set and enforce architecture standards, security and reliability across all infrastructure environments Partner with senior technology and business leadership to align infrastructure architecture with the strategic priorities of the Group Provide clear technical direction and governance, giving leadership visibility on infrastructure performance, change and spend Desired Candidate Profile 12 to 15 years of experience in cloud and infrastructure, built on a strong technical and architecture foundation rather than a pure operations background Deep hands-on expertise across cloud architecture, networking and infrastructure, with real experience leading change, upgrades and modernisation programmes Proven cloud FinOps expertise, with a track record of managing and optimising cloud consumption and cost at scale Experience managing outsourced or managed service vendors across cloud, networking and service desk Strong architectural judgement, able to make and defend technical decisions at a senior level The leadership maturity to run a function and manage vendors while remaining technically credible and hands-on Experience within a diversified group, conglomerate or multinational environment is a strong advantage Based in the UAE or willing to relocate Company Industry RecruitmentPlacement FirmExecutive Search Department / Functional Area Engineering Keywords Head Of Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture Get real-time job updates only on our App
