General Accountant (Automotive Industry)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our automotive operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards, and supporting the financial performance of the business. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial reports. Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations. Monitor inventory and vehicle-related accounting transactions. Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial matters. Support external auditors during audits and financial reviews. Ensure accuracy of financial data and proper documentation of transactions. Prepare management reports and assist in budget preparation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements Minimum 3-4 years of UAE experience as a General Accountant. Previous experience in the Automotive Industry is highly preferred. Master's Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification such as CA or ACCA. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and VAT regulations. Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications Experience handling automotive dealership or vehicle trading accounts. Knowledge of inventory accounting, spare parts accounting, and vehicle costing.
