GenAI Consultant (AWS)

Summary

We are seeking a Gen AI Application Developer to design, develop, and enhance AI-powered applications for an AWS Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) platform.

The role will focus on conversational AI, generative AI, backend development, secure integrations, and cloud-native application development using Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex V2, Amazon Q in Connect, Amazon Bedrock, OpenSearch, Contact Lens, and AWS Lambda with Python.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows, queues, and routing profiles, and integrate Amazon Lex V2 conversational experiences.

Build AWS Lambda (Python) functions, REST APIs, backend services, and event-driven workflows for AI orchestration.

Design and implement RAG solutions using Amazon Bedrock, OpenSearch, embeddings, and vector search.

Configure and support Amazon Q in Connect and Contact Lens for AI-assisted customer interactions.

Implement prompt engineering, AI guardrails, PII redaction, secure logging, encryption, and least-privilege access.

Support secure web chat integrations using CloudFront and AWS WAF and monitor applications through CloudWatch.

Develop CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation, Git, and related AWS services.

Maintain technical documentation and ensure solutions align with FISMA, FedRAMP, and government security requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on Python development and experience building AWS Lambda applications.

Hands-on experience configuring Amazon Connect and integrating Amazon Lex V2 for conversational AI solutions.

Experience developing Generative AI applications, including LLM integration, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and AI guardrails, preferably using Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q in Connect, and Amazon OpenSearch.

Experience with Amazon S3, REST APIs, backend development, event-driven architecture, Git, CI/CD, AWS CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

Strong understanding of IAM, KMS, encryption, PII protection, secure cloud development, and government compliance.

Strong communication, documentation, and independent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Amazon Connect deployment and Amazon Q in Connect experience.

Amazon Bedrock LLM and OpenSearch vector indexing experience.

Advanced RAG implementations.

CloudFront, AWS WAF, Athena, Glue, and X-Ray.

Relevant AWS or security certifications such as AWS Developer, Solutions Architect, AI Specialty, DevOps, CISSP, or CCSP.
