Job Description

Fossil Project Manager

Location: Juno Beach, Florida (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead engagement across selected gas project development activities, from technology due diligence and FEED studies to construction readiness. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional leadership role operating at the intersection of Generation Development, Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), and Engineering & Construction (E&C). The ideal candidate thrives in an origination-driven environment and brings a disciplined approach to budget, scope, and schedule management, risk identification, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate the day-to-day management of select projects to ensure timely completion as well as cost-effective and competitive results.

Manage all aspects of the project once it is turned over for field execution, with project sizes ranging from 200 million to 1.5 billion dollars.

Lead E&C participation in gas project technology and commercial due diligence, evaluating commercial commitments, constructability, and site integration complexity.

Identify and document E&C-specific technology and commercial risks, including balance-of-plant configuration alternatives and supply chain availability.

Maintain a Risk Register, tracking scope, schedule, cost, and constructability risks, and proactively identify when scope changes introduce risk.

Partner with Integrated Supply Chain on procurement support activities, including RFQ input, scope review, and bid evaluation for major equipment and EPC/EPCM scopes.

Lead schedule development, cost benchmarking, cashflow modeling, and risk-adjusted cost positioning in support of project sanction decisions.

Act as the company representative with local, national, and international agencies and regulating entities during the execution phase.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience: 11 to 15 years of experience leading energy storage and infrastructure projects, ensuring engineering and financial integration. Experience in EPC/EPCM project delivery, cost estimating, schedule development, and project risk management for gas generation projects.

Technical Skills: Experience in major equipment and EPC/EPCM contract procurement including bid preparation, evaluation, negotiation, and award. Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders including executive management and public officials.

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Experience with combined cycle or simple cycle gas development across multiple geographies and regulatory environments.

Familiarity with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management and scheduling software.

What Sets You Apart

You lead across organizational boundaries without direct authority and make it look seamless.

You surface risks before they become problems.

You bring structure and discipline to early-stage development environments that others find ambiguous.

You are equally comfortable in a technical meeting, a leadership budget review, or a public hearing.
