Fleet Manager

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Fleet Manager oversees the company's fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are available, well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and used efficiently to support business operations. Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's vehicle fleet. Ensure timely preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs of vehicles. Monitor fleet utilization, fuel consumption, and operating costs. Ensure compliance with transportation, safety, and regulatory requirements. Manage vehicle registration, insurance, licensing, and related documentation. Supervise and coordinate drivers, including scheduling and performance monitoring. Investigate accidents and implement corrective and preventive measures. Coordinate vehicle procurement, replacement, and disposal. Track fleet performance using GPS and fleet management systems. Prepare reports on fleet performance, maintenance, and operational costs. Negotiate with vendors and service providers for maintenance, fuel, and fleet-related services. Implement initiatives to improve fleet efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety. Desired Candidate Profile Requirements Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 3–4 years of experience in fleet, transportation, or logistics management. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet management practices. Familiarity with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office. Understanding of transportation laws, safety regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and vendor management abilities. Ability to analyze fleet performance data and manage budgets effectively. Valid driver's license (preferred or required, depending on the role).
