Fire Protection System Draughtsman

Prepare detailed firefighting and fire protection shop drawings using AutoCAD. Prepare sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, fire pump, fire tank and fire protection piping layouts. Prepare GA drawings, sectional details, riser diagrams and schematic drawings. Prepare as-built drawings based on site installation. Coordinate fire protection drawings with architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical and plumbing drawings. Revise drawings according to consultant/client comments and site requirements. Prepare drawings for Civil Defence/authority submission and approval. Carry out site surveys and update drawings according to actual site conditions. Prepare sprinkler head layouts, pipe routing, valve arrangements and equipment layouts. Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control. Coordinate closely with engineers, project managers and site teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Skills Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D. Good understanding of firefighting system components and installation. Knowledge of NFPA standards and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code. Knowledge of UAE Civil Defence requirements. Ability to read architectural, structural and MEP drawings. Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings. Good coordination and communication skills. Qualification Diploma / Bachelor Degree. Relevant firefighting drafting experience is preferred. Preferred Candidate UAE/GCC experience in fire protection/firefighting drafting. Experience with commercial, residential, industrial or infrastructure projects. Candidates who can independently prepare firefighting shop drawings will be preferred. Employment Type Full-time
