Finance Business Partner - Lending

Act as the primary finance advisor and partner to the Lending division, driving commercial success and ethical compliance. Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and business cases for new and existing lending products. Provide actionable insights on portfolio performance, profitability, risk, and growth opportunities. Collaborate with product, compliance, and risk teams to ensure products align with Sharia principles and regulatory requirements. Lead budgeting, planning, and performance tracking for the Lending unit. Prepare and present financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership. Support the development of internal controls and processes for lending products. Build and deliver a comprehensive financial performance dashboard for the Lending division. Complete a review of current lending portfolio performance and identify key improvement opportunities. Develop financial models to support at least one new lending product proposal. Establish regular reporting cadence and templates for Lending unit KPIs. Present initial findings and recommendations to the leadership team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Proven experience in a finance business partnering within banking, fintech, or financial services. Deep understanding of lending products, credit risk, and portfolio management. Strong analytical and financial modelling skills; able to translate data into actionable insights. Experience working with cross-functional teams and providing strategic financial advice. Familiarity with Sharia-compliant financial products or willingness to learn. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with a mission-driven culture. Experience in Islamic banking or Sharia-compliant lending. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the UAE or MENA region. Exposure to digital banking or fintech environments. Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Certification's (CFA).
