Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Project Coordinator / Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing cybersecurity projects, serving as the primary liaison between clients, technical teams, and internal stakeholders. The role ensures that projects are delivered securely, efficiently, on time, within scope and budget, and in accordance with applicable cybersecurity standards and requirements. The Project Coordinator will manage projects across various technical environments, including web applications, mobile platforms, cloud infrastructure, and IT networks. Working under the supervision of the Department Head, the role involves planning, coordinating resources, monitoring project progress, managing client expectations, and ensuring the successful completion of project deliverables. This position combines project management and coordination capabilities with cybersecurity knowledge, enabling effective communication and coordination between technical teams and clients. Key Responsibilities VAPT Project Management: Coordinate and oversee multiple Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) engagements, ensuring projects remain on schedule and all agreed deliverables are completed. Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during on-site and remote engagements, providing regular project updates, responding to queries, and coordinating requirements. Project Planning: Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables in coordination with clients and internal stakeholders. Team Coordination: Assign and coordinate tasks among ethical hackers, penetration testers, and technical resources while monitoring progress and ensuring activities follow approved methodologies and security standards. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare, maintain, and update Statements of Work (SoWs), test plans, project reports, closure notes, status updates, and other relevant project documentation. Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential project risks and issues, escalate them when necessary, and coordinate appropriate mitigation and resolution strategies. Compliance & Standards: Ensure project activities comply with applicable cybersecurity frameworks, methodologies, internal procedures, and client requirements. Retesting & Scope Management: Coordinate retesting activities and manage approved scope changes, additional requirements, and project extensions requested by clients. Project Monitoring: Track project timelines, resource utilization, deliverables, and overall project performance to support timely and successful completion. Desired Candidate Profile Skills Required Skills & Competencies Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts, VAPT and penetration testing methodologies, cybersecurity frameworks, and basic networking and system concepts. Project Management: Ability to plan, monitor, and coordinate project schedules, resources, risks, deliverables, and budgets. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, technical teams, management, and other stakeholders. Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Documentation & Reporting: Strong ability to prepare professional project documentation, reports, presentations, and client communications. Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with project management and collaboration tools is an advantage. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify project issues promptly, assess available options, and coordinate practical solutions. Cybersecurity Certifications (Preferred): CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications. Project Management Certifications (Advantageous): CAPM, PMP, or other recognized project management certifications. Location Preference: Candidates based in or from the Philippines are preferred. Education & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Industry Experience: Previous experience in IT security, penetration testing, VAPT coordination, cybersecurity operations, or cybersecurity project management is highly preferred. Experience coordinating technical teams and managing client-facing projects is an advantage. Key Performance Indicators Timely delivery of projects within the approved scope and budget.
