Estimator

Conduct comprehensive cost analysis by evaluating blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather necessary information for cost estimation and to validate project feasibility. Research and assess material and labor costs by contacting suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing. Prepare detailed bid proposals and cost breakdowns, presenting them to stakeholders with clarity and transparency. Utilize advanced estimation software to create and manage databases of costs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the bidding process. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing timely updates to project teams and identifying potential cost overruns. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements and constraints. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate favorable terms and pricing. Support contract negotiations by providing accurate estimates that align with project scope and client expectations. Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, new materials, and construction methods to improve estimation accuracy.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating or a similar role within the industry. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications such as Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or Associate Constructor (AC) are highly desirable. Proven experience with construction software and tools like Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, or similar platforms. Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring precision in cost calculations. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; additional languages are a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering relationships with various stakeholders. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure situations with tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
