Enterprise Release Engineering Architect

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Release Engineering Architect to establish and lead the organization's Release Management capability. This role will define enterprise release strategy, governance, processes, and automation while building a high-performing team that delivers predictable, secure, and reliable software releases across multiple applications, platforms, and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Define and implement enterprise-wide Release Management strategy, standards, and governance. Build and lead the Release Management Office (RMO), including Release Managers and Coordinators. Plan, coordinate, and oversee enterprise releases across multiple applications and environments. Drive release readiness, Go/No-Go decisions, deployment planning, and rollback strategies. Partner with Engineering, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, Security, QA, and Business teams to ensure successful releases. Establish release KPIs, dashboards, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive automation across CI/CD pipelines and promote DevSecOps best practices. Manage release risks, dependencies, compliance requirements, and production stability.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Experience 18+ years of experience in Enterprise IT. 5+ years leading Enterprise Release Management functions. Proven experience building Release Management capabilities from the ground up. Strong experience managing large-scale, multi-application releases. Experience working with geographically distributed teams. Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills. Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance is preferred. Technical Skills Enterprise Release Management DevSecOps and CI/CD Environment and Change Management ServiceNow, Jira, Git Release Automation and Deployment Orchestration OCI (mandatory), AWS/Azure/GCP exposure preferred Kubernetes and container platforms Blue-Green, Canary deployments, and rollback strategies Nexus/Artifactory and Observability platforms Leadership Skills Strategic thinking and governance design Team building and mentoring Strong planning and decision-making abilities Executive-level communication and stakeholder management Ability to lead during critical production events Success Measures (First 3 Months) Establish enterprise Release Management framework and governance. Build and operationalize the Release Management Office. Improve release predictability and deployment success rates. Reduce manual release effort through automation. Deliver executive dashboards and release health metrics. Drive measurable improvements in release maturity across the organization.
