Engineering Manager

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About the Role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead high-performing software engineering teams and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. This role combines people leadership, technical leadership, and delivery management , working closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and executive stakeholders to drive engineering excellence and business success. Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, feedback sessions, and career development discussions. Support engineers in achieving career growth and promotion objectives. Delivery & Execution Own the execution of product roadmaps and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery. Improve sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and engineering processes. Balance feature development, technical debt, operational support, and product quality. Identify and remove delivery blockers while managing cross-team dependencies. Technical Excellence Promote engineering best practices for architecture, coding standards, testing, maintainability, scalability, and reliability. Partner with Technical Leads and senior engineers to drive sound technical decisions and system design. Collaborate with QA teams to improve release quality, regression coverage, and defect prevention. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product Managers, DevOps, QA, Delivery, and executive leadership to align engineering execution with business objectives. Support customer escalations while ensuring engineering teams remain focused on roadmap priorities. Participate in technical planning, project reviews, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Talent Acquisition & Team Development Define hiring requirements for engineering teams. Conduct technical interviews and candidate evaluations. Support onboarding, coaching, succession planning, and engineering career frameworks. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in Software Engineering. Previous experience leading software engineering teams. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software delivery practices. Experience building and maintaining production software systems. Experience managing Backend, Frontend, Full Stack, Platform, or Machine Learning engineering teams. Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Experience within SaaS, AI/ML, Enterprise Software, FinTech, or other regulated industries. Experience with Cloud platforms and/or On-Premises deployments. Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Observability, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Experience scaling engineering organizations and building engineering operating models.
