Electrical Technician

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Summary: The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems and equipment. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) electrical systems. Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, and control panels. Monitor electrical systems to identify faults and potential hazards. Install, maintain, and repair wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, and related electrical components. Conduct routine testing and calibration of electrical equipment. Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation. Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other maintenance staff during repairs and projects. Support commissioning and startup activities for new electrical installations. Desired Candidate Profile Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance of LV and HV systems. Experience with transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and motor control centers Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulations. Ability to use electrical testing instruments and diagnostic tools.
