Diesel Generator Operator

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Safely start, stop, and monitor diesel generators, ensuring stable power output during primary or backup operations. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and coolant checks, to prevent equipment failure. Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, identifying root causes of malfunctions. Operate and maintain generator control panels and associated switchgear, ensuring proper load transfer and synchronization. Desired Candidate Profile Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel mechanics or electrical systems is highly advantageous. Hold relevant certifications such as Certified Diesel Mechanic (CDM) or equivalent industry-recognized credentials. Have 5 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining diesel generators in industrial or commercial settings. Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
