DevOps Engineer (VOIS)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide global IT integration, support, and delivery across private cloud environments, ensuring applications from multiple clients can run reliably and securely. The role focuses on Kubernetes-led DevOps practices, overseeing application lifecycle management, CI/CD optimisation, infrastructure stability, and cross-team collaboration. The individual will help accelerate deployment of modern, secure applications used across Vodafone markets worldwide. What you ll do Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of applications, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines across multi environment setups. Lead and execute system migrations, upgrades, and integrations, including decisions on tooling, automation frameworks, and deployment strategies. Own and resolve incidents and problems, prioritising according to SLA commitments and business impact. Establish and advocate for DevOps best practices, including monitoring, automation, documentation, and knowledge-sharing standards. Collaborate closely with internal teams and vendors to manage escalations, provide technical fixes, and support long-term improvement initiatives. Desired Candidate Profile Skilled in system integration and deployment of DevOps tooling, with experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and APIGEE implementations. Capable of managing full lifecycle migrations, upgrades, and release transitions with complete ownership. Experienced in service management, incident resolution, and handling multiple cases concurrently within agreed SLAs. Knowledgeable in UNIX/Linux administration, IT infrastructure domains such as DNS and proxy configurations, and connectivity techniques. Familiar with microservices architecture, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and preferred tools such as SonarQube and Nexus. Able to troubleshoot database and application issues across UNIX and Windows environments and maintain comprehensive documentation. ITIL Foundation certification, AWS knowledge, software development understanding, and Remedy experience are advantageous.
