Design Mechanical Engineer- Oil and Gas

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Prepare and develop FEED packages, including mechanical design calculations, datasheets, and technical specifications. Review and verify project drawings, datasheets, and technical documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards. Perform mechanical design calculations, equipment selection, and material specification in line with project requirements. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including piping, civil, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery. Ensure designs meet client requirements, project timelines, and international standards. Provide technical support during project execution, including design modifications, clarifications, and troubleshooting. Ensure all engineering deliverables adhere to HSE standards, company policies, and applicable codes. Support procurement activities by providing technical input for mechanical equipment and material selection and BOM. Assist in developing project schedules, cost estimates, and technical reports. Proven ability to review project drawings, technical documents, audits, and project meetings. Demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills to ensure effective collaboration and project delivery. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or a related field. Proficiency in engineering software/tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, Smart Plant, CAESAR II, PV Elite or similar). Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.). Minimum 10years of experience in mechanical design within the Oil & Gas sector. Hands-on experience in FEED package preparation. Strong capability in reviewing and interpreting project drawings and technical documentation. Familiarity with project management tools and documentation control systems. Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
