Delivery Assurance Manager
Job Overview
Provide independent assurance on project delivery performance, validating whether projects will achieve completion on time and within approved cost to complete. Review project schedules, progress updates, recovery plans, and cost forecasts against evidence rather than reported status. Lead stage gate reviews and delivery assurance assessments across assigned projects. Validate project baselines, critical path activities, float consumption, resource loading, and schedule impacts. Embed within underperforming or high-risk projects to drive recovery planning, monitor actions, and stabilize delivery performance. Identify root causes of delays, disruptions, and cost overruns, ensuring risks are escalated with supporting evidence. Hold Project Directors, COOs, contractors, and key stakeholders accountable for agreed actions, milestones, and commitments. Escalate delivery, governance, delegation of authority, and approval-related issues to leadership in a timely manner. Represent the EPMO in project reviews, governance forums, and executive delivery meetings. Support the development of standardized delivery assurance methodologies, governance processes, and lessons learned. Utilize AI tools to analyze schedules, project reports, site updates, and correspondence to identify delivery risks, recurring issues, and emerging project concerns. Drive data-driven decision-making by ensuring a single source of truth for delivery performance reporting across the portfolio.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. 10-15 years of experience in major construction, infrastructure, PMO, project controls, delivery assurance, or project delivery roles. Strong experience working with main contractors, EPC contractors, PMC organizations, or client-side project delivery teams. Proven track record of successfully recovering delayed or underperforming projects and leading turnaround initiatives. Advanced understanding of construction project lifecycles, including design, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning, handover, and defects liability. Proficient in Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software with the ability to assess critical path, float erosion, and schedule risks. Strong understanding of project controls, planning, progress measurement, risk management, cost forecasting, and governance frameworks. Experience managing senior stakeholders, including Project Directors, COOs, CEOs, and executive leadership teams. Experience within the GCC or wider MENA region is highly preferred. Demonstrated practical use of AI tools to improve project controls, schedule analysis, reporting, risk identification, root cause analysis, or recovery planning. Strong analytical, communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable operating in challenging environments and independently challenging project status when evidence does not support reported performance. Employment Type Full-time
