Datacenter Technician

Our client, located in Atlanta, GA, is currently in need of a Datacenter Technician for a 12 month contract. The consultant will work 100% onsite in support of server and network hardware repair and troubleshooting. The consultant should have experience having their hands inside the server, replacing parts, as well as be able to lift 65 lbs. and be able to work while on a ladder.

Responsibilities

Provide day to day data center operational support Escort and coordinate with dispatched field engineers Manage parts shipping, receiving and inventory Maintain and update documentation Coordinate with power, cooling and facility maintenance team activities Proactively monitor servers and notify customer of issue Open and manage escalated service requests; triage and coordinate break/fix activities with Dell support Perform troubleshooting, log collection and follow recommended resolutions Support firmware upgrades Perform OS installation / reinstallation as needed

Required Skills

Ability to work 100% onsite Basic network troubleshooting experience Experience servicing servers and replacing parts Experience reading Linux logs and gathering basic info using the CLI

Nice to have Skills

RoCE network experience NVIDIA GPU experience NIC experience

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $30 - 45 per hour
