Data Foundations & Insights Analyst

You establish and extend the data foundation that lets the company make decisions on facts rather than assumptions. The Business Development Manager owns processes, standards and Odoo workflows; you define the information those workflows need to capture and make it reusable for analysis and decisions. Start with the decision: You work with the business to make the actual decision question explicit. You identify who needs an answer, when they need it and which information is genuinely required instead of collecting data without a clear use. Design data collection: You define what needs to be captured, where it should be captured, who is responsible for entering it and how often it must be updated. You make the requirement clear enough that it can be built into a process or system workflow. Map and model the information: You document sources, terms, relationships and calculation logic, then develop practical conceptual data models that show what belongs together and how it supports a decision. Programming is not required at this stage. Extend the data foundation: You identify information gaps, duplicate local lists and missing history. You propose the next sensible additions so each new input strengthens a reusable company-wide foundation instead of creating another isolated file. Work across Odoo and Microsoft 365: We work with Microsoft 365 and are introducing Odoo across the business. You help make sure the required information is captured in the right place and can be found, understood and used across these environments. Turn information into insight: You create recurring reports and focused analyses that answer a defined business question, explain the relevant pattern and show what decision the evidence supports. Use AI with judgement: You use AI tools to support research, structure analysis and identify patterns, while checking every important result against the underlying information before it informs a decision.

Experience

You have worked with data collection, requirements analysis, reporting, business analysis, data modelling, data management or a related field. Process and organisational understanding: You understand how operating steps, responsibilities, systems and data capture affect one another. You can formulate a data requirement without taking ownership of the entire process-change project. Abstraction: You can reduce a complex business question to the information that is actually needed to answer it, and separate useful evidence from information that only creates noise. Data modelling: You can explain data relationships, definitions, sources and calculation logic clearly enough that business colleagues can use a shared model without guessing. Analytical thinking: You can structure information, recognise meaningful relationships and explain what an analysis means for a concrete business decision. Tools: Experience with Microsoft 365, Odoo or a comparable ERP system is welcome, but not required. Programming is not required at the outset. AI affinity: You are curious about practical AI tools and disciplined enough to validate their output before it is used as a basis for action. Language: Excellent English. German is a plus.
