Data Engineer/BI Developer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Avanceon is looking for a skilled Data Engineer / BI Developer with strong expertise in SQL Development, ETL Processes and Tableau Reporting to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong database background and hands-on experience in developing reporting solutions, integrating data from multiple systems, and building interactive dashboards that support business and operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, and database jobs. Design and optimize databases, reporting schemas, and data models. Develop ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources. Design and develop Tableau dashboards, reports, and KPI monitoring solutions. Create efficient Tableau data sources, calculations, filters, and drill-down reports. Perform query tuning, performance optimization, and data validation. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, GIS Specialists, SCADA Engineers, and Customer Teams to deliver reporting and analytics solutions. Support data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting enhancements. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. 5+ years of experience in SQL Development, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Reporting Solutions. Strong expertise in: Microsoft SQL Server SQL Queries Stored Procedures Views Functions Query Optimization Database Design & Data Modeling Hands-on experience with ETL development and data integration. Experience with Tableau Dashboard and Report Development. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Preferred Skills Experience with MSSQL and Oracle databases. Experience with SSIS or similar ETL tools. Familiarity with Tableau. Experience GitHub, JIRA.
