Data Center Smart Hands

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Data Center Smart Hands (Hands & Feet) resource to provide onsite operational and physical support for a telecom client in Dubai. The role involves assisting remote IT teams with hardware handling, cabling, installations, troubleshooting, and maintaining data center infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite support in the data center for remote IT and network teams. Perform rack and stack activities (installation, decommissioning, relocation of servers and network devices). Handle cabling tasks (fiber and copper patching, labeling, tracing, and organizing). Support hardware troubleshooting and replacement (servers, storage devices, network hardware). Assist in power cycling, equipment reboots, and basic diagnostics as per instructions. Maintain asset inventory and update documentation regularly. Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, power, alerts) and report deviations. Ensure compliance with data center safety, security, and access protocols. Coordinate with vendors for hardware support and maintenance activities. Provide timely updates and adhere to SLAs and shift schedules.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience in Data Center Operations / Smart Hands Support / IT Infrastructure Support. Basic understanding of: Server hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco, etc.) Networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls) Cabling standards (fiber, Ethernet) Experience in rack & stack, patching, and physical hardware handling. Familiarity with data center layout, power systems, and cooling. Ability to follow technical instructions from remote teams. Good documentation and reporting skills. Physically fit for handling equipment and working in data center environments. Employment Type Full-time
