Contracts & Commercial Manager (MEP)

Lead contracts, commercial management and cost control for a prestigious stadium construction project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Manage the main contract, subcontracts, variations, claims, extensions of time (EOTs) and commercial negotiations. Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations, notices and commercial procedures. Prepare and manage variations, claims, valuations, payment applications and final accounts. Monitor project cost, cash flow, commitments, forecasts and commercial risk. Lead subcontractor commercial management, including tendering, negotiations, payments, variations and settlements. Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with the Project Director, Planning, Procurement, Design and Construction teams on commercial matters. Lead contractual correspondence and negotiations with the Client, PMC, Consultant and subcontractors. Support dispute avoidance, resolution and escalation where required. Ensure effective commercial reporting, forecasting and management information to senior management. Mentor and lead the Contracts, Quantity Surveying and Commercial team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Commercial Management. 20+ years overall experience, including 5+ years in senior commercial leadership roles. Must have knowledge and experience of MEP including subcontractor contracts. Proven experience as a Contracts & Commercial Manager / Commercial Manager on major stadium, sports venue or mega construction projects. Strong Main Contractor experience preferred. Excellent knowledge of FIDIC contracts, particularly Red/Yellow Book principles. Experience in variations, claims, EOT, delay analysis, disputes and final accounts. Experience managing large-value contracts, preferably SAR 1 billion+. FIFA / World Cup / Olympic / UEFA / AFC or other international sports venue experience highly preferred, not required. GCC / Saudi Arabia experience preferred. Strong negotiation, contractual and commercial leadership skills.
